Refreshment stop between Moteka and TakakaGarden RoomWhen we purchased our Takaka Hill property our friends (local and otherwise) kept suggesting that we open a cafe as there is no 'watering hole' between Motueka and Takaka, which takes at least an hour to travel. Besides, driving, motorbiking or cycling the Takaka Hill is a pretty exciting experience and deserving of a break somewhere.

Although not wanting to do the full cafe thing we have decided that we would enjoy providing morning or afternoon tea or a light lunch for a small group, by prior arrangement.

Our mothers taught us how to rustle up fluffy scones and a well-brewed cuppa. We have since developed a love of good coffee and healthy teas made with the abundance of herbs from our newly planted garden.

We want our tea-stop to be simple, fresh and friendly.
